Intel is purposely misleading the public with its chip naming scheme.

More Information

In the Gigabyte notebook comparison, 3dmark05 is used, but in the CPU charts, 3dmark06 is used. WHY? I wanted to see the difference between mobile Core2Duos and desktop Core2Duos, but can't be very objective when different benchmarks are used.

The CPUmark scores are interesting, they put the new Core2duos inline with Pentium 930 and 820, respectively. BTW, the naming logic is out the door. What the hell Intel? You named it with a "higher" number than the desktop models, but they are synthetically the same speed as last years dual cores.
