More Information

I want to move many of my home pictures to dvd. I already have a good slide/strip/photo scanner.

But need software to create fade in/out and may be some narration onto a DVD rom.

newegg.com has an ASUS machine, but what kind of software do you use? Seems like most of it is video. I don't want to get into video/movie capture yet, just use my stills.
Any suggestions? And what about formats for DVD home machines that are about 3 or 4 years old?

Thanks!
