I’m looking for something a bit out on the ordinary.
I need some way to archive a few hundred CD-ROMs on a network.
Most the drive arrays are too expensive. Years ago I spent a few hundred on a SONY 200 disk CD changer for my home audio system. Doesn’t anyone make a device like it but for computers? The disks are rarely used but need to be shared.

Specifically I’m looking for a network attached device. I’ve checked every ware and haven’t found anything under the several thousand dollar range.

Thanks for any help guys I’m at a loss.

Hi;

I just thought of something:
Lacie has external harddisks wich can be used in a network, and they currently have 300Gb-plus models.
- 250Gb for $549.
- 400Gb for $899.
It's called "d2".

Go to www.lacie.com , or to
http://onlineshop.lacie.com/Shop/ListRange.cfm?range=1
to see the drives on their online shop. Look under "Firewire" to find their "d2" and "Big Disk" backup drives.
Hope this helps.

Greetings from Belgium;
Carl
