the CD drive tray at Random open and close by itself
anytime computer is on , no pattern , the drive functions ok , I checked device manager , Was OK , checked all connections OK , removed and reinstalled it
problem is still there
Computer is HP , the drive is made by Lite-on (40x speed)
ANY ideas ??????

2 people have had that problem recently.
For one person it was a plain cd drive, and was cauzed by dust/dirt on the optics. The drive would think there is a disk in there, and thus spit it out when the read attempt obviously failed.

Try cleanign the drive.
