More Information

Posted this already in the GC forum'but i find you get a quicker and bigger response in this forum.

So forgive me for posting here.

Just wanting some general advice.

winxp or win98
900mhz athlon t-bird(moving up to 1.2 or 1.4ghz shortly)
Asus 27m266 mobo
512 ram

Currently have a geforce2 mx400.
It does the job great and i play a sheetload of games'and have been more than happy with it.
However i play quite a few Naval Warfare games and some of them involve embm graphics to make the water look more realistic etc etc.

So i am gonna upgrade either to a geforce 3 or a cheaper geforce4 mx.

Now i know that the gf4mx will be less a card as it's an mx'but my current gf2mx has done me proud and cost is an issue here. The more money i save on a GC'the more i can put towards upgrading my cpu.

I am in the uk and will now post the different cards i have the option of buying.I am afraid i am on the tightest of budgets'maybe £170 max.So my questions are.

How would the cheap g42mx compare against my current gf2mx?
If you all think the gf4mx would be a bad option'then what do you think of the gf3's i have posted?
Lastly would the gf4 give me embm?
