Buy a new SIM from any provider then notify your old provider of the loss of the SIM and ask for a PUK to pass on to the new outfit so they can transfer the number over. Problem is - it takes about three weeks during which time you have no service so ask the existing provider if they can help you. If the phone was stolen, they are usually quite helpful.
