Never had Ku set up on my dish I have a 8 Foot Channel Master Fiberglass
dish . Found a ku lnb That I
was able to try, it has .9 db noise and 55db gain printed on the specs.
but after I hooked it up on 4DTV and went to X4 I receive nothing ,signal
strength only 30 to 40! I am in Florida is my Dish to small for KU or is
the LnB to Old for digital?

A.9dB rating on a Ku-Band LNB is pretty high in my opinion.I am using a
6dB PLL California Amplifier on my system(10 foot Unimesh dish). I
think the PLL is key here for digital.With an old LNB,it is subject to
frequency drift and signal dropouts from noise.
A phase-locked loop LNB is what I would use for digital reception and
the lower the dB rating the better.Your dish is a little on the small
side,but I have heard of ADEQUATE (not good) reception with that size.

Florida can be on the weak side of the satellite transmit antenna
pattern(s).They are online some where.
Central southern usa has the highest signal typically, the corners of the
usa are down, which means you need a bigger dish.

It's a little late to help, but you should be able to receive something in Florida on analog kU channels from an 8-foot dish and a .9 degree LNB, even if all you see is colored snow.

If you are seeing no change at all in the video -- nothing but black and white snow, then either your dish isn't aligned precisely enough (most likely), or your LNB is bad. Aiming KU is much harder than aiming C-band -- a lot like the difference between hitting the center of the bullseye and hitting anywhere on the target. Your C-band reception can be great across the sky and you may still see absolutely no video on KU band. It is that precise. It takes lot of patience and fine-tune adjustments.

If you're not familiar with aiming polar mount dishes, it's best to pay someone with C-KU experience to do it for you. It's easy to mess up the aim of the entire arc while trying to tweak one satellite. And as you may know, a DirecTV or DIsh Network installer who has installed a thousand of the little dishes but no big dishes is NOT qualified to start making adjustments on your polar mount dish. Use a BB gun or pepper spray if one tries.
