Well, as of a couple days ago, there are no adult channels available on 4DTV
except Playboy Directors cut on T7-970. TVN used to have some adult
content, but it's gone now, and on top of that, we lost some TVN Pay Per
View channels. We are now down to 8 PPV channels (except for Playboy), and
we lost KTVD UPN (BG-603) out of Denver which has been replaced with an
infomercial channel.

The only adult content available on C-band is two XXX channels on T6-01, and
T6-07 (analog), and with a 4DTV there is Playboy Directors Cut on T7-970
(which is X most of the time, but sometimes can get to XX).

I am sorry to say that if you are new to this, do not invest in any new
C-band equipment. At this time, regular TV type channels are going away
quickly, and all that is left are premium movie channels, and even some of
those (Showtime) have gone away.

With a "sky is falling message" like that, the ONLY advice I can give you is
to ASAP choose the quickest and least painful method of ending it all!

ie: Shoot your self!

Get a grip!

With analog ITC,VC2+,DC2 ITC,DC2 subs, and mpeg-2 fta the BUD still has more
than enough channels to keep us going for years to come!

It STILL has the best video and sound quality!

Not to mention programming choice and choice of where and what you buy!

I agree with all that. This is not the time to put any money into
4DTV. The adult channel on T6 will be gone soon. They are only selling
3 Months subscription now. According to what I read, there are only
about 900,000 C-band active accounts in the USA, and falling. Those
numbers can not sustain the market anymore. The last VCII + modules
were made in 1998, and the 4DTV digital programming packages are as
expensive, if no more, than the DBS systems.

As of 10-01-2004 there were 315,588 c band subscribers.
There's less now.

and those channels on T6 are WAY less expensive than the same channels
on dish Network. The service may go to 4D in the future.

Huh? like what? Showtime is there, if you are referring to 3 channels
that you need to use the mask to view correctly. Just use the mask.

Except for the movie channels which give you twice as many channels,
and all in 5.1 when available as opposed to half the channels and 1/3
the 5.1 on Dish Or DTV...more value for less money...if you're into
the movie channels. Fortunately, I am.
You also have about 20 different packages to choose from as opposed to
3 with dish network. or 2 with DirecTV not to mention the 5 PBS feeds,
B-Mania, Ovation and Tennis Channel which are my favorites of the
dozens of free channels. Try that on a small dish. :-)

Obviously you aren't aware of all the channels added in the last couple months. As far as dirty tv programming that you want that kind of garbage doesn't need to clutter up the 4DTV as far as I'm concerned. Sounds like your just ticked cuz you lost your dirty channels.

You can subscribe to the two porn channels on IA-6 (T6) the 4dtv would be able to get many adult channels, more than any other system though playboy does not want to allow sales for there master feeds, best you can do is ask you provider, or if you know anyone at Playboy that has power then they may be able to help, the Ten networks are also in DCII in 4dtv mode with a bunch of Playboy feeds on IA-13 (T7) I would think when the analogs go away they will allow 4dtv users to sub to there digital feeds, you can see all the porn that the 4dtv would be able to get on the link below
