Hi, Is it possible for me to use a 920 4dtv receiver with an old Direct TV
dish and LNB in order to point at one satellite only? I am only interested
in the music channels on G10. HAs anyone tried this? Thank you, Joe

You will need a 4.5' minimum.

I don't know that an 18,or 24" dish would be big enough to pick up G10
cband, even if did replace the dbs lnbf with a standard 11.7-12.2 Ghz ku band
lnbf, but what you might be able to do with that setup is receive the dmx
music channels off of X4(the ku side of G4).

To add to what Valdvar said with regard to ku on G4, if you have a DVB
reciever you can fix the direct tv dish to Nimiq 1 at the same location as
G11 on ku for a larger variety of music channels.

I have a 6 foot prime focus dish that gets it great in South Florida.
I think you might have luck with one of those 4.5 footers I have seen
in the past on mobile homes. It would depend where you are.

The best thing for him would be X4 and a 30" if it has been hit
already. If not you need the C band.
