Please don't use "nt". This isn't a web forum.

What's 'nt' & 'web forum'? ( Yes, I don't know )

"nt" stands for "no text". It means the subject is the question.

It's annoying, because most newsreaders don't put the subject as part of
the reply when you compose a followup, and so it makes for an illogical
post.

A web forum is something like http://www.tivocommunity.com/ or
http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum.... an online message board. I brought
it up here because "nt" is a common method of posting on web forums (fora?).

Thank you for sharing with the world your inability to tell the difference
between a polite request and what you call being a "usenet cop".

The OP was not similarly confused, thankfully.

Then shouldn't you ('cuz you're the one with the "nt" problem) be requesting
that the OP not only not use "nt" but that he also not be lazy and include
his question as the body of his post? Be clear about what you want, Lenny.

Do you always have such problems reading? I left only the part above
that pertains to your assertion.

Perhaps a visit to the eye doctor?

How many neckties are you wearing?
So if the OP simply stops using 'nt' how does this help the problem? If a
reply doesn't include the subject (because of the newsreader) then the same
problem that Lenny bitched about is still happening because there's still no
text.

to clarify, the OP (me) wasnt "confused", he was merly not aware of the
limitations of most newsreaders that make use of "nt" less than popular
on usenet.
