Whenever I try to start Dvarchive i get 500 mozilla firefox browers
windows trying to open up in very rapid succession.of course dvarvchive
won't load. HELP!!

The only things I can think of are to uninstall Mozilla and see what
happens with DVArchive, then re-install Mozilla and see if it happens
again.

If so, then I would uninstall Java, Mozilla and DVAchive, then re-install
them in that order.

You should be starting DVArchive from Java.
On my machine you start it with this "java -Xmx128m -jar DVArchive.jar"
which is the contents of the start file.
