Install wireless network card, open the wireless network icon, will find your wireless network, enter your wireless settings, working!

If you actually need someone to do this with you, try a local PC shop. I'd avoid places like Staples or Best Buy.

wait i only have a wireless usb thing

nothing shows up when i plug it in

i have the cd and installed the drivers but still nothing

Does the dongle have Windows 7 drivers? Check in device manager see if it's listed there with any errors. Try a different USB port also. If none of that shows or does anything, try it with another PC. If that does not work, replace it.

So when you said nothing was showing up, you were not talking about the WiFi dongle but the wireless network list? From what you wrote it sounded like the WiFi adapter was not showing up on the computer.

Glad it's working for you now.

WiFi has about a 300ft max range, lowered by walls and such. Plus the others may have WiFi shut off, or set to not broadcast the name.
