My Vista 64 bit computer refuses to connect to the internet (wired connection). I have a d link router and I have tried connecting without with no luck... My xbox connects just fine as does my phone through wifi. I can't figure it out. I've tried the usual reset reboot but nothing.. I recently updated my bios. Could that be it?

Did it connect to the Internets before the BIOS upgrade? I would also do this to see if you are pulling a valid IP address.
Start> run> cmd> ipconfig /all
If it is pulling a 169.... address? I would try to manually configure a static address to see if that resolves the issue. If non of that works there are some other things would could try.
