Hi Everyone

I have a question that is causing me a head ache with Windows Shares and password credentials across

Scenario

We have 2 domains, the customers and ours and there is no trust in place or ever will be. This is against our recommendation of a One Way Trust i.e. we trust them they don't trust us.

We have around 15 shares on 3 Server 2008 R2

We have user names in our domain that mirror the user names of the customers domain and permissions set with these mirrored user names..

In this scenario the customer cannot connect to the shares via UNC as it decides that as the user exists in both domains it should not prompt for a login.

Is there a way to force it not to be clever and pass the credentials?

Hopefully there is a solution but Google is strugling to provide the answer this time

What are the user's OS's or how are they connecting (i.e. through the server, vpn,...)?
