Forum Wireless Networking : General Discussion Using 3G Dongle with E4200

Hi I was wondering if it is possible to use a 3G USB modem with a linksys E4200 router so that I can share the 3G internet wirelessly. I am willing to install unofficial firmware but please confirm if it is possible. Thank you.

I know for a fact that the standard firmware does not support USB as WAN.

I tried looking it up on DD-WRT.com but could not find anything.

Maybe you could start a threat on their forum.

or you can buy this one and use your Linksys as an AP

I researched about this topic and I agree that there is no default support for a USB 3G modem but that is just poor use perfectly capable hardware by linksys.
I'll try to get an anwser from the folks over at dd-wrt as you suggested but I am not willong to buy a new router no matter how cheap it is(I despise myself for buying E4200! Could have gotten myself a decent netgear and even saved a few bucks in the process!).
Thank you for your time.
