Where is the switch to turn on the wireless capability on my Toshiba Netbook?

Toshiba Netbook: the connection is switched on by depressing a Function F key and the F8 keys

By the Function F key, do you mean the letter F on the keyboard?

FN + F8 is for WiFi,

Thank you. I did that but the wireless signal on the front of the computer is still showing as red and not blue and I am still unable to get on the internet. I have another laptop sitting right next to my Toshiba and it is working fine with the internet. Not my toshiba though. Maybe something wrong with my Toshiba??

Is it enabled in the device manager?
