Hello,
I am interested in increasing the signal strength on my wireless network specifically to the two furthest roms in my home. What is the best approach? I was thinking of running a Cat 5 cable from my Ethernet output on my router to the rear rooms and install an access point/Repeater to provide stronger wireless signal.

that would work or you could set up a bridge repeater.

a bridge repeater will connect wirelessly to your main router and will allow other wireless devices to connect to it. no cables necessary.
