This might seem like a silly question, but in all the time I've used computers I've never learned how they work with bluetooth. I've just recently gotten a nice set of bluetooth headphones for my smartphone and I would like to get a USB dongle for my desktop. Would be cool to be able to sit back from the couch without being tethered by 10-foot springy wires and such.

My question is... does the USB dongle come with the needed software to work with my comp? Does it just sync up, and then I can pop open any music to listen? I saw a review on NewEgg.ca mention http://www.bluesoleil.com but... yeah... that all looks rather complicated. Also, do cheap dongles hinder sound quality? Anyone know of reputable dongles that are easy to purchase?

Oh, and how come they don't make PCI/PCIe bluetooth cards anymore? I thought those offered the best signal quality, and they don't hold up a USB port. I'm actually quite surprised no one has come out with any WiFi/Bluetooth hybrid cards. Seems like a no-brainer to me... Unless there's some technical problem with the two radio-sources being so close to one anther.

Hi there,

I have one of these and regularly use it to stream music and video to bluetooth headphones and speakers. It is from a reputable brand and i have had no problems with it as of yet. It is very cheap aswell.

Sound quality has been great and it is very simple to set up and use.

hope this helps
