Hello,
Can I use my brothers old Microsoft Broadband Networking Xbox Wireless Adapter as a wireless router in my apartment? I currently have to use an ethernet cord and connect to the wall but would this adapter work so that I could move around my apartment with wireless?

Hi :hello: , the Wireless Adapter which normally looks like a flash drive, does enable your machine (computer) to communicate with the wireless routers. The modern laptop computer comes with a built in wlan card and that's why they can directly communicate with the wireless routers and since the desktop computers does not have this privilege, we hook a USB wireless adapter.

Hence, the above explanation gives you the answer of your question. You may get a wi-fi router. Nowadays, they are very much cheap and affordable, which would let you do your home networking. If you would like to know which one would be best for you, let me know your requirement and your set up of computers, I would love to give you the best suggestion........................ :wahoo:
