Forum General Networking : Routers & Gateways Connecting Ext Hard Drive to Router

Hi - I have a Netgear Rangemax Dual Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router (model WNDR3700). I used to live in a small place so I connected my external hard drive direct to my laptop. However, now that I have a bigger place i want to connect the ext hard drive to the router so I can take my computer where I want. However, I cannot connect the hard drive to the router. I can plug it into the router, of course, but it will not appear under the Network folders (I use Window's Vista). Can someone help?

Register or log in to remove.

You must also set it up in the router settings.
