So I'm deployed right now, and wanted to use Steam to play my games online. The ports (there are several) are blocked from the router.

But I was wondering if this might work. I downloaded SPI Port Forwarding from:

(There's no help manual for it unfortunately, so I don't know how to use it)

Could I use this application to forward specific ports back home to my router which then translate those ports back to what they should be to go to the Steam network. Is this possible? Just an idea, not sure about implementing it but I was curious.

If this idea wouldn't work, what would? maybe a VPN back home and from there to the Steam network?

Also, I'm not sure how to set it up if it does work.

Thanks,

As much as I sympathize with your situation, what you are asking is technically hacking by trying to bypass employer safeguards. This violates the forum policies here, so I cannot help you.

No Problem.

BTW, your issue is very common, and I would be surprised if a Google search did not give you several ideas. . .
