Prioritizing game traffic

Forum General Networking : Routers & Gateways Prioritizing game traffic

Hello there,
I'm wondering if there's anyway to prioritize game/application traffic. I'm not exactly a tech savvy guy but my younger brother is always mad at me for slowing his connection while he's playing game. I don't use much internet, except the occasional facebook/email while my younger brother play his game all the time. I don't exactly care about me using slow connection. I'm using ZTE router series ZXV10 W300S. I also somewhere that setting up QoS might help(?)

If it's possible a step by step guide will help

Thanks!

Check to see if there is a QoS or Quality of Service tab or section. If there is take a screenshot, post it here and I'll do my best to guide you through it.

If there isn't a QoS or Quality of Service tab, your router probably doesn't support it.

I'm not very sure what happened in here.. Seems like our thread got merged because it was the same issue? Either way I'll try adding the port and will let you know if it does work!

Looks like thread got merged : http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] te#t138092
