Hello,
I have multiple computers setup on a home network in my home. Recently I added my single DSL phone line also out to my shop where I have a small apartment. The Apartment is setup with the same phone line as my home. The phone works fine. What do I need to do to use my computer on the internet in the apartment at the same time as others using the home network?

run a network cable and connect it to the network in the Home or try a N-wireless network.

how far is the apartment from the home?

When I ran the phone line I used 162feet of underground telephone cable. This got me out of the telephone box on the side of the house all the way to the apartment connection. From ther I had already ran phone lines and cat5 cables internally in the apartment.

Would it be possible to use a router since it has it's own mac/IP address?

Thanks
