Forum General Networking : General Discussion Setting up switch and router

Hello,
If i want to setup a router and switch in my small business... 11 computers. Can i run 2 switches into one router or is it better to run one larger switch into one router.

Second is when I set it up do I need to assign addresses to each computer or do I just need to plug them in and setup the network with windows network wizard.
I will have a shared drive on one of the computers or possably some network storage.

What kind of router? Many routers will have DHCP as an option. If so, you won't need to specify IP addresses except for your server(s). Both switches can plug directly into the router. Overall, it depends on what equipment you are using.
