Network not connected to Internet - help

Hello,
I was on email and everything stopped - no Internet connection - although modem is on lights are flashing appropriately. Test says nothing wrong with Internet connection. Network and sharing center looks like this:
My pc ---- network 2 ----X----- Internet
Network 2 - private network
Access - local only
Connection - local area connection

Any ideas on what this means and how to resolve?

A good place to start is power cycling everything. I would disconnect your router from the modem, then reboot the modem and give it a few minutes. They turn off your router, hook it back up the the modem, and turn the power on again.
