GbE via USB 3.0 'dongle' in production?

Forum General Networking : LAN/WAN GbE via USB 3.0 'dongle' in production?

Anyone know if someone is planning on making a USB 3.0 to GbE adapter with this chip? I read that there is a USB 3.0 docking station with a Gigabit NIC already available, probably NOT using this, as it looks like the chip should be available in Feb 2012.

Such an adapter would allow me to re-purpose my homemade NAS (with USB 3.0 expandability) to gateway / router use.

Yes, I do know I can do this via a 10/100 USB 2.0 adapter, even fiber doesn't go faster.
