is there another way to hook up Blue ray player that has a LAN port to a router wirelessly?

Yes. You can use something like a bridge.

Example --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] ink%201522

After configuring the bridge you would hard wire the blue ray player into the bridge and the bridge would create a wireless connection to your Access point. Best part is that you can hook up other devices to the bridge when needed.
