Hello,
We have 2 offices conected by dedicated lease line. Office 1 has network range of 192.168.0.0/24. It also has linksys router which has internet conenction. Ip is 192.168.0.15. Users from this office can access internet.
Office 2 has network range 192.168.1.0/24. it has no internet connection.
Both the offices machines can ping each other. but users from office 2 cannot access internet.
All are windows machine.
what setting should i do in the 2nd office machine so they can access internet from the 1st office.

Try setting the default gateway for the office 2 machines to 192.168.0.15

You should be able to set that up on what ever is DHCP serving office 2.

*Edit*
You may also need to add a DNS server address. You should be able to use 192.168.0.15. But to make sure you can use one of google's public DNS servers 8.8.8.8

when i use 192.168.0.15 as a gateway in 2nd office, i get message saying ip is of differnt network. In DNS i have 0.15. When i try to ping cnn.com from 2nd office, cnn.com is getting resolved to ip addr, that means my DNS is working. But i do not get any reply from the cnn.com.
Ip addr of lease line router is 10.10.10.1(Off 1) and 10.10.10.2 (off 2). when i do tracert cnn.com,
it shows me something like this

192.168.1.254
10.10.10.2
10.10.10.1
10.10.10.2
10.10.10.1
& so on.
its like packet is moving betw 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.2 and not going out.

O stupid me, of coarse that is what is going to happen. Sorry about that, don't know what I was thinking.

Yep that is exactly what is happening, you have a router loop, [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Routing_loop_problem][/url] I think the problem is with the 10.10.10.1 router, for what ever reason it thinks the IP address your are trying to get it is over on 10.10.10.2 router. So your have two router throwing the same packet back and forth thinking the other one has the path for the ip address.

I have never has a lease line before, so are those 10.10.10.1 and 2 router, your responsibility or the lease line provider?

Thnxs for the info. Lease line routers are maintained by the line provider. I have already told them abt this. They will get back to me
