Small Business Server Addon

Forum General Networking : General Discussion Small Business Server Addon

Hi,

I have a basic question about adding a MS SBS into our network.

Current network layout is:
DSL->Modem->D-Link (layer 2) switch->Client PC

Reading through material concerning Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials Set-up they ask for:
DSL->Modem->Router->Client PC

The user network is basically simple peer sharing per folders on local machine. I would like to inject the server into the network.
Is it possible to create the network with the server using the current network layout?

Thanks
Frank
