Hi -

I have a LG NAS connected to my Linksys E3000 running DD-WRT which i thne connect to wirelessly with my laptop. well a few months ago i started to notice that the network light on my NAS was intermittently blinking, no big deal i thought, but then it got more frequent and now it almost constant and i can't figure out why. it, and the lights on my router, are blinking like a bunny on crack and i really am not sure if its the router, the NAS or my laptop that is the problem.

I recently ran TCPView to see if i could see what was running and maybe it was a process like WMP or something and found that my NAS seems to be using microsoft-ds (although the port is random) to send and receive data almost constantly, though to who/what i have no idea. it does this even when i am not using the NAS and if i end the process it will stop the access but then i seem to can't access any drives on my system.

is this a big deal or not and can i stop it?
