I recently bought Netgear N750(WNDR4000) router and I noticed that it constantly losing Internet connection. Before I had Linksys wrt54g router ( with tomato firmware). It was very stable and I never had this Internet connection issues. I wasn't sure is ir related to my Internet provider or to the router itself. So, I disconnected the N750 Netgear and connected back my old Linksys wrt54g four days ago. The internet connection was stable, never dropout happened for 4 days. Once, I disconnected Linksys wrt54g and connected the N750 Netgear, few hours later Internet got disconnected.

So, what it can be related? What setting to check? I have Win7 installed on my laptop. Any help is appreciated.

I just purchased the same Netgear N750(WNDR4000) router yesterday and updated to the latest firmware V1.0.0.88_9.1.77,
and am also seeing dropouts. Likewise I had no such dropouts with my previous Linksys Dir655 router.
In the WNDR4000 log I see entries like (latest first)

What firmware are you using?

I've got latest firmware. However, it doesn't really matter. I also checked that there's no DT-WRT firmware available for this router yet. Still in the process of testing.

However, it found some way around. I can say that don't have any more Internet dropouts, ... but I have a couple of times a week, instead of constant number of dropouts during the day. What I did? I simply bought the Netgear WNDA 31000 wireless adapter ( 2.4-5 Ghz).
