What is the IP address of the router. You might have to go into router settings by entering the routers IP into browser. I dont think you need internet but only need to be connected. Your router may not be giving out IP addresses. I am not sure what this is called but it a feature that you can change by doing entering the Ip into browser to a computer that is connected and looking around for a feature that maybe be sending IP addresses. Hope this helps
