Hello,
Is 'work offline' internet secure?
I have encrypted files I work with after checking 'work offline.
Since going to Cable from DSL, i can no longer turn off my modem.
So I use work offline instead.

Work Offline is no internet, but does not mean that you are not connected to the modem, the network card is working. Do you have a Router between the modem and PC? If not, get one. Will add a very good layer of protection. Work Offline just disconnects the web browser from the internet not the whole computer.

If you want to be "secure" unplug the cord from the computer.
