My Belkin wireless G router apparently quit transmitting or something in configuration went wrong.
I kept getting messages about other wireless networks being available but not mine.
I dual boot win7 and ubuntu linux 11.10 and both lost connectivity - also in 1 other desktop and a laptop.
Router light "wireless" shows ok - and the green bar signal indicators show a strong signal from network and sharing center.
Still would not connect until I powered up an old Linksys "B" wireless router and then everything worked.
I still feel like a noobie on networking - I just wondered if any test to show wireless signal strength exists.
To test my router before I scrap it.

Access the wireless router's configuration page with your browser. Make sure you have an "SSID" name for your wireless network.
