Forum General Networking : Firewalls Network connection help

Word :    Username :

In my home network, I have a network tower, which serves as my firewall, according to my firewall log I can not get DHCP in order to connect to my Comcast modem. Would any body be able to tell where I should go next with this? I'm trying to connect my network tower through the firewall and a switch which is also connected to a WAP. Thanks

DHCP uses two ports. Destination UDP port 67 for sending data to the server, and UDP port 68 for data to the client.

You need to open these ports on the firewall.
