More about what manufacturers made processors whithin years
  1. Intel
    AMD
    ARM
    Apple/samsung
There are others but can't remember the names of the manufacturers...
  2. As far as I know it's just been Intel, AMD and VIA.
  3. ARM/Apple/Samsung all make ARM processors. None of them that I am aware of have ever created an X86 processor.
  4. A little Google goes a long way to finishing your homework alone.....

But, as you can not be troubled to do your own research, let me share this Wikipedia link with you:

    Designers? Intel, AMD, and Via

All ARM CPUs except some IBM are x86?
  7. I don't think IBM has made an X86 processor this decade. If you are thinking the PowerPC then no, it is not an X86 chip.

ARM chips use a RISC architecture, x86 is a CISC based architecture.

It's why there is a specially ported version of windows for ARM.

    Hi :)

Totally agree, you would think if they are bright enough (or stupid enough) to come here to get us to do their homework for them, that they would know how to use Google first.... lol

    All the best Brett :)
  10. ^ Actually there was a guy who made an x85 CPU, but he went broke right away :D.
  11. PS - I wanna see the OP put that in his homework paper :D :D
