Hello, I recently added a second 5830 to my computer because I wanted better frame rate, well my FPS has gone up as much as I wanted it to however it doesn't look as good, there is a lot of tearing, I normally play games with vsync off but this is way worse then normal, also my fps will drop down randomly to like 20-30 in games like Crysis, Crysis 2, BF3, etc. I tried fixing the screen tearing with Vsync but all that did was make my FPS stick at 30 and below. My experience with crossfire hasn't been very good and I am hoping to make it better.

Also I notice that when both my 5830's are running at 800/1000 games perform horribly but when I overclock the cards even just a tiny bit my FPS will skyrocket, I was getting 30fps in bf3 with both cards at 800/1000 so I overclocked to 825/1050 and my fps went up to 60+ However it doesn't look close to as good at 60FPS as it did with my single 5830 at 30FPS. It is just way choppy and the quality of game play has just dropped. I am actually saddened because I have been looking forward to adding a second card to my system for months and now I am having nothing but problems.

I have tried switching cards, putting one on top of the other, trying them each individually, they both run just fine by themselves, it's only when in crossfire, and yes they are both getting enough power, I have a TX650W corsair PSU with an i7 930 x58 machine. I just want my games to look smoother, even though my FPS is high it doesn't look smooth, and vsync has done nothing but degrade the performance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
