i have a XFX radeon 6790 single fan version. i get good fps but i want to go crossfire not because i need to but because i want to. do you think its a noob idea to go 2 6790s? they do perform very well for the money. just want to hear some input

You will gain almost double the FPS. Read some review and you see if is worth or not.

What resolution are you playing at? If 1920x1080 or less on a single screen, then its a waste of money. You gain nothing except increased fps which you can not see anyway.
If you play on triple monitor setup, say 5760x1080, then it will be well worth it.

Agree with the top post, If you only have 1920x1080, it's a waste and 6970 would be enough. If it's larger, it would be a good upgrade.
