I need help finding two VGA heat sinks for a pair of geforce gtx 550 ti's that i'll be running in SLI. Price is a factor, but efficiency is the big issue. I need to lower temperatures below stock. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

For sli you want to stay with dual slot coolers but sadly very good dual slot coolers are very very hard to come by. If you have the room for tri slot then there are plenty of choices. The GTX 550ti doesn't use that much power compared to other cards now days that being only around 109w stock for a reference design.

The GTX 550 Ti is a pretty cool card as it is. Are you looking to install aftermarket cooling yourself, or are you just looking for the coolest custom version?

The MSI Cyclone seems to run pretty cool, 49c at load according to Guru3d:

I'm looking to use aftermarket coolers. I tried the Ac Acellero L2, but just found out they aren't quite compatible with the 550ti's for some reason. I'm looking for something that specifically is compatible for my cards.

The only coolers that are aftermarket that I know very well first hand are the Zalman VF700,900, and 1000. The 700 and 900 are not good enough to really keep a 550ti cool. The vf100 is big enough and handles even hotter cards with ease but likely isn't going to mount onto a 550ti but it might be worth a try however the cooler isn't cheap.

I'd say the ones that are on them are the best ones.

I don't see the point in spending a bunch of money for new heatsinks for 2 low end video cards.

To be blunt: I'm not interested in your opinion of the quality of my graphics cards. I asked what a good aftermarket cooler for them would be. The 550 ti's rank in the bottom of the high end cards or top of the mid grade cards. I suggest acquainting yourself with information before you post. Please refrain from off topic responses in the future.
Thanks for the handful of answers that give me a jumping off point, though none quite solved the issue, because no data was solid.

You should check out the Acelero Extreme Plus II or the Acelero Twin Turbo from Arctic Cooling. They make the best aftermarket coolers and they have several that are compatible with the GTX 550 Ti.
