Hello,
My FlatScreen TV went Black – couldn’t bring up the menu but still had sound. TV is 32” Samsung Model = LN-S3251D, I replaced Swollen Caps and tried turning it on, it would flash Blue and then go black, my son tapped somewhere by the main circuit board and it came on so I hooked it up to cable, reset channels etc. – It ran for 3 Hours, then when I turned it off & on again it flashed Blue screen and then went black. I then ordered rebuilt power board and installed, when turned on it flashed Blue screen and then went black again. I then tapped the top connection cable of the Main circuit board – the TV came on Blue Screen and I could get the menu, I then cycled it off & on 3 or 4 times with NO problems, so I turned it off and connected the signal cable, when I turned it back on it was Black Screen again.

Send it to service center for repair. It could be anything or cable connection problem that results to lost of "BACK LIGHTING". You have the sound, Channel reception is there but the screen lighting is gone.
