I do not think you can use the monitor as a speaker.
You can use it as the screen and speakers, but not just speakers.
Honestly I think your best bet is to get a pair of headphones/or a headset. The quality that you can get from headphones/headsets is ridiculous. I bought myself a cheap pair and it blows my tv speakers away. I just plug in the headset and mute the tv.
They are very low end when it comes to headsets. when compared to tv speakers though, they are amazing. (Unless you have a surround sound setup, then they aren't so great)

Hey, I have a nice set of corsair gaming headphones which are connected to my PC, My TV have speakers built in, but i was just wondering if there was anyway to get the sound from my xbox come out of my PC.
Get better speakers for your TV, it should have an audio out. Probably will need an amp with it, the PC speakers are not meant to be used with the output levels of the TV.
The HDMI ports on the PC are OUT only unless you have a capture card.
