My friend wishes to know if he can use his laptop monitor as a screen for his Xbox, he is wanting to connect through HDMI, he has an xbox, the cable and a HDMI socket in his laptop.
Is this just a straight up connecting job?
Or is it possible but with a bit of messing about?

I would be amazed if his laptop could do what is essentially HDMI in. Look in the manual for something like this. If it's not mentioned I'd seriously doubt it's possible.
