I am looking for a video card that will go in my Xp system and has HDMI out to connect to my Big Screen TV. Price is a big factor as I don't have much to spend on this project.
Any suggestions?

there are not many HDMIs out there, usually are workstation or high end gaming ones, and usually few years old. But, thankfully you can buy not top priced card with DisplayPort and use DisplayPort to HDMI adapter

What are the full system specs of your XP system?(CPU,RAM,etc.)

What is the make/model of the PSU?

What is your budget?

Something like this should work but I would suggest going for a 5570.

What sort of system do you have now ? Can you post specs ? Where are you in the world ? what shops should we look at for recommendations for you ?

I have a Emachines T3256 has 2.2ghz AMD processor 2gig ram 3 pci slots 1 agp slot

just last night I ran a machine with the 4200 on board. A month prior to that it was on a 6950. a few month's ago i ran a 5850... all HDMI hooked to TV for sound and pic through HDMI. Running XP. Pick a card...... low end to high end they should all work AFAIK.

Here are the only 3 AGP HDMI cards that Newegg sells:

As you can see AGP cards are quite expensive. I suggest a new build at this point, otherwise you would be spending money on an obsolete foundation.

Nice reminder. I almost always take for granted anymore that AGP is dead and nobody uses it anymore. been a while since I saw one.
