Hey there :hello:

I put my pc together about 4 years ago now, so it's getting on and is in need of an update. For Christmas I got a new monitor, so I'm now running at 1920*1080 rather than 1280*1024. I'm noticing my games arent running as well now so I'm thinking of throwing a decent, but cheap, new graphics card in to help.

Current pc is:

E7400 @2.4ghz

4gb Ram

GeForce 9800GTX+

500W PSU

Ideally I dont want to spend too much over £100, which I know isnt much. I've been looking into the ATI 6850's. I've also seen speculation that prices might drop soon with ati releasing new cards, so I'm happy to wait a little.

Anyone got any tips for a good cheap new card? Something I can play things like Skyrim, cod, TW games etc on. I know I cant expect highest settings from a cheapy card and an outdated cpu, but high-ish would be good.
I'm planning on buying Battlefield 3 in the future too, so something that can play that at 1920*1080 would be good (though I realise my cpu will be bottlenecking)

Thanks :)

Here is a link that will help show you the different prices of the different cards. They are laied out over a few pages to read and the hierarchy of GPU's. I hope these help.

Thanks for the help.
Not sure on the brand of my PSU, its a 500w one that came with my Cooler Master case though (I've had no problems with it so far)

That should deal with a 6870, but I wouldn't trust it with anything more.
