Forum Forum Feedback : Feature Requests XP missing Search assistant

Hi,
I started the thread above in the XP forum but received no reply. Eventually I found a way of solving my problem myself. I posted another message in the same thread asking for the thread to be closed. I got an email to say that there had been a reply to my thread. Logging in showed that it was the closure request that I myself had posted. The forum did suggest other similar threads which were even similar in the sense that no one had suggested a solution. This morning I received 2 identical emails asking if I had received a solution to my problem.
Is there any way I can mark a problem as solved to save on unnecessary email traffic?
TIA
