[Solved] Gtx 460 vs gtx 560

a gfx card will work well with any cpu that lets it to flex its muscle properly. some cpus can bottleneck, others don't. it depends on the cpu itself.

intel hates nvidia. the myth that their stuff works better together is kinda stupid, if anything, intel and nvidia stuff probably would work worse with each other but I guess thats of a null point as you won't be using nvidia stuff with an amd cpu most of the time and benchmarks are always ran on intel cpus these days.

anyways the 460 is good but the regular 560 is often over priced. I'd go with a 560 ti at that price point.

Not sure where you are, but in the UK 460s are starting to go for stupid prices. I just picked up a pair for £100 each. That's nearly 50% cheaper than a straight (non ti) 560, and they overclock to buggery and back. A pair of 460s in SLI cap out somewhere between a GTX570 and GTX580, costing £350 according to the GPU charts on this site. Absolute steal right now, mainly because they won't be around much longer. They support all the current gen stuff, and are great value right now.

Get a 2600k, it will definitly last you 4+ years as you will be able to oc it more and more each year to keep up with the newer cpu's!
