I'm looking for a tv tuner card thats kind of in the mid range price. i'm running win 7 ultimate with 3 gig of ram and a 2.8 AMD Athlon processor but i have a 32 bit operating system which i'm planing on changing to 64 bit. I'd like some info on this before i change over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is your video source (cable, satellite, OTA digital broadcast)? If cable or satellite, does your subscription require a set top box?

:sigh:

If your cable solution requires a set top box, then I'd probably recommend a a cablecard solution:

Ceton InfiniTV4 TV Tuner - $294
SiliconDust HD HomeRun Prime - $200
Hauppauge WinTV-DVR-2650 - $125

Equipped with a cable card from your cable provider, either of these devices will do what you want in lieu of a set top box TV tuner.

If you're subscription does not require a set top box, then any TV tuner with a ClearQAM tuner will suffice; such as this AVerMedia AVerTV Bravo or Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 should work.

hauppage 2250 is the most reliable hardware and software. It works well w/ windows vista, w7. Its own tv software works well too. It varies from $97 to $127 when on sale. The recording limit is your PC's hard drive space. An hour of HD TV show is ~ 4.5 to5 Gbyte. A Superbowl 4 hour show end up ~ 28Gbyte. I place a 2 TB drive so i don't worry about it then delete the once that i don't need.
