I have 3 5.25 bay open and i would love to fill with a fan or 2 vertically, like a front mounted fan, for some extra airflow. I am also open to ideas but i would love my idea to work. does something exist like that or would ir be a custom mod?

I use nylon ties to secure an intake 120mm fan to the holes in the sides of the bays. There are also inserts for holding up to 3 3.5" HDDs with a 120mm fan on the front - you install up to 3 HDDs then slide the insert into 3 contiguous 5.25" bays. Here is one from Thermaltake available at Amazon.

What case are you on there?
I have a couple of that style mod and the possibilities are usually worked around the cases personality, for want of a better phrase :-)
