So I'm basically just going for a gaming rig that can run games like bf3, skyrim, minecraft, on decent settings but not ultra. Not interested in OC or SLI really. Trying to keep it under $1000 as best as possible lol, but yea need some opinions .
What I have so far:
Case: Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, comes with Three Fans-1x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1x Top 140mm Fan, 1x Rear 120mm Fan, option Fans-2x Side 120mm Fan http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811147153
CPU Cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835103099 (This Necessary?)
One of the reasons that people like HDMI is that it has sound built in. Since you are getting a monitor with speakers this may be handy (prevents running two cables). I'm not a fan of having speakers built in, thus I don't, so DVI works great. Unless you prefer the speakers on the monitor I'd get one without them and buy actual speakers, although this can be pricier.
In summary..
Monitor with speakers:
1 HDMI
or
1 DVI, 1 Sound
Montior without speakers:
1 HDMI
or
1 DVI
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is one of the primary differences between HDMI/DVI.
