Forum Graphic & Displays : TV Tuner Cards Need help with hardware configuration

Hello. Here is my question, which is a bit "involved." I have digital cable with HD signal connected to a set top box with hd capability. I have a Hauppauge HVR-2250 video card in my computer. And I have a secondary monitor on my computer (with hd capability) that serves as my television "set." I want to be able to use Windows Media Center to schedule and record television programs. The hvr-2250 has the following jacks/sockets: a tv connector for cable tv; an a/v connector for svideo, composite video and left/right video; and a remote control connector. One special note, there is no slot on the card for an HDMI cable. How do I connect my hardware "components" to be able to watch live HD on the monitor or tv programs in HD? In plain English, please. I'm not a computer technician; I do fine with the software side, but the hardware lingo is lost on me. I would really appreciate ANY assistance with this problem.

If your digital cable set top box has a coaxial output (like the input connection on the set top box), that is the way to go. If not, S-Video is your next best option.
